Faith Yang first tried her hand at writing church songs in the mid 80's. Some of them were recorded in a Christian album which caught the attention of prominent local composer, Billy Koh.
She was also talent-spotted by composer Tan Kah Beng and singer Dawn Gan. Under their recommendation, she and good friend Justin Liow started writing commercial jingles for Ocean Butterflies Production Pte. Ltd. where Billy Koh was the Executive Producer.
In 1994, Faith began to compose Chinese pop songs but they were not published until 1995. Although her ambition was to be a singer, there were more opportunities in the area of composing then.
Now, Faith's efforts have paid off well. Not only are her songs being recorded by regional artistes, she will soon have a singing career as part of the duo, JNF.

JNE is formed by Faith Yang and Justin Liow The duo has been performing since their secondary school days.
Both of them compose their own songs. Justine plays the guitar and drums as well. while Faith's songs have been recorded by artistes including Cass Phang and K.C. Lee .
The duo is now preparing for their debut regional release.
